Usual hours

Durham Health is a progressive Medical Centre building on 50 years of service to the Waimakariri District.

Our opening hours are:

Monday – Thursday 8.00am- 6.00pm.

Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm.

Doctors appointments are available throughout the day from 8.30am til closing time.

Appointments are booked at 15 minute intervals.

* If you have multiple problems you wish to discuss or mental health issues, you will need to book a longer appointment. Please let the Receptionist know that you need a double appointment in advance so that we can accommodate you.*

After hours and weekends/public holidays

In an emergency phone 111 and speak to the Ambulance service.

Your call will be put through to  a nurse advice answering service who will give you advice on your condition and suggest appropriate places to access the help you need. This may include advice on whether your problem is urgent , whether you can manage it yourself at home, whether it can wait til normal opening hours  or whether you need a further assessment by a doctor at the 24 Hour surgery or you need an assessment by an on-call experienced Paramedic who will visit you at home.
