Dr Lizzie Madden

Hello

I'm Lizzie Madden one of the new GPs.

I'm originally from Saltburn, a small seaside town near Whitby in the Northeast of England.

I trained at Newcastle-upon-Tyne Medical School and emigrated to New Zealand with my partner Ben in 2009.

Before working in the South Island, I worked in Auckland and India and the Northeast of England, all quite different!

The variety in cases in General Practice means I am always learning and interested. I hope to further develop my skills in family planning and travel medicine.

When I'm not at work, you might see me enjoying the Kiwi lifestyle; tramping with my spaniel Monty, learning how to ski or tap dancing, but not all at the same time!

I look forward to meeting you in the upcoming months.
