About me

Hello,

My name is Lika and I am originally from Germany.

I started off as a nurse, doing a 3-year apprenticeship and then decided to study Medicine.

I graduated from Hamburg University in 2010 and published a dissertation on EGFR mutations in Renal Cell Cancer. I have worked in Ireland in ED and Mental Health, in London in ED and Urgent care and in New Zealand in Cardiology, General Medicine, Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Older Persons’ Health.

I live on a farm and very much enjoy the life in New Zealand, with horses, farm dogs and a wee goat - there is always something to do. After travelling all my life I finally met my Kiwi husband in the far south of South America and we now made a home in New Zealand.

Working as a GP has always been my goal and I love it! You never know what the next consult will bring and it is exciting to meet and settle in the community of Rangiora.

I look forward to meeting you
