About me
I am originally from Kansas in the United States. I grew up on a farm and have always enjoyed the rural lifestyle. I studied at the University of Otago for a year during my undergraduate studies and am happy to be returning to NZ with my family.
I had a brief stint in the medical branch of the United States Air Force and then finished medical school and family medicine training at the University of Kansas. My first years out of training were spent working in hospital as a hospitalist and then transitioned to the clinic setting.
Although I was drawn to family medicine because of the care through the full life spectrum, I have significant experience caring for the older adult patient and end of life care. Additionally, I am interested in weight loss management and helping people live their healthiest lives with the goal of preventing chronic disease.
When not working I like to spend time with my family, enjoy horseback riding and pilates.
