Durham Health provides a comprehensive accident service for accidents and injuries.
We are able to refer to our onsite x-ray facilities for diagnosing fractures. We can also plaster non-complicated fractures / severe sprains.
There is no surcharge for ACC consultations for those under 14 years who are enrolled and funded.
For all other patients there is a ACC surcharge (see fees page) as ACC only partially subsidises the consultations.
If your ACC claim is declined you will be invoiced for the subsidy amount (a GP visit is comprised of a surcharge + subsidy cost)
